Poetry Competitions

Encouraging school pupils and general audiences to think about the world around them poetically.

Micropoetry Competition

Each year, Creative Manchester holds its Micropoetry Competition centred around a unique, topical theme.

In partnership with the Centre for New Writing, and open to all, participants are asked to craft a poem of 280 characters on the required theme.

The judging panel, formed of esteemed poets such as Lemn Sissay, then selects the winner and runners-up for grand prizes.
