Aside from getting the chance to work with some brilliant people, the work placement with Creative Manchester provided an environment for me to really develop my event management skills. I was given the freedom to create and implement my own project plan, including being trusted to liaise with event partners and marketing suppliers. This is quite uncommon for someone early in their career in the creative industries, so now I can take the experience forward to make my mark in the sector.

MIF placement 2019
Take a look at how drama students got involved in the Manchester International Festival in summer 2019.
All the students from Drama and English got an opportunity to work with Rimini Protokoll on their show Utopolis. There were three of us on a team and we all assisted a different member of Rimini Protokoll. My role became part of the production team but also as a voice in Utopolis. Because of so many opportunities that the University has given me, but also this placement, it's made me realise that there are so many different routes you can go down.
